A few more Saint Francis Friends... These two tortoises are the same age but raised in different environments. They are both healthy but you can see how much smaller Winkie is due to the poor diet it was fed and the improper housing and lighting it received during the first nine months of its life. Although, depending on the age of the tortoise that laid the eggs, the size of the hatchlings will vary. The older the female sulcata tortoise is the larger her young will be when hatched.
Very active, very much interested in people and very healthy. The previous owner's, who unfortunately had to give her up, took wonderful care of her.
